CHAPTER
SUMMARY:
Kappa Alpha Theta is very proud of its success at combining all aspects
of college life to make this a memorable experience for its
sisters. Our academic accomplishments are extremely important to us,
as is being involved in the community, all while strengthening our
sisterhood and having fun! Thetas at Cal are involved in a wide range
of activities from Cal Athletics to the ASUC to mentoring to student
clubs on campus.
Our commitment to the community is shown through our annual
signature philanthropy event, Mr. CASAnova, in which the men of Cal
compete to be crowned Mr. CASAnova and raise money for our
philanthropy, CASA. This year, our chapter raised over $6,000 to
benefit the children of CASA. However, our commitment does not just
end with writing a check. We love to have events at our home in which
the children come over and have BBQs or make crafts.
No matter what you are looking for, the Omega Chapter of Kappa
Alpha Theta has it! We learn so much from each other everyday and hope
we can share that with you, too!

MESSAGE
FROM THE PRESIDENT:
Welcome to Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of California, Berkeley! Theta means so much to us here.
Founded in 1870, Kappa Alpha Theta holds the proud position of
being the first ever Greek letter fraternity known among women. The
sisters here at the Omega chapter continue to carry on the traditions
and uphold the values that our founders deemed important 137 years ago.
We strive for the highest scholarship and the widest influence for
betterment throughout the community.
The Omega Thetas are involved in countless activities not only
within our chapter, but also within the University and the community.
Yet as busy as we are with academics and outside leadership, Thetas
always find time to strengthen our sisterhood and have fun!
We are so lucky to have our family of Thetas here at
Cal. Thank you for stopping by! And as always...
GO BEARS!

ANNUAL EVENTS: Mr. CASAnova, Invitationals, Exchanges, Black & White Ball, Sisterhood Events
PHILANTHROPY: CASA - Court Appointed Special Advocates
FAMOUS ALUMNI: Julia Morgan, Dian Fossey, Sheryl Crow, Laura Bush, Keri Strug, and many more!
CHAPTER HISTORY:
The Omega Chapter at UC Berkeley was founded in 1890 and have been here
ever since! Our first official home was built in 1908 by Omega Theta
alumna, Julia Morgan, especially for her Theta sisters. Unfortunately,
in 1940 the house had to come down due to structural issues, but our
beautiful new house was built in the same location by architect Gardner
Dailey.
The Omega Thetas have always been ones to step out and accomplish great
things. We have a long history here at Cal, and we look forward to
continuing that with many more years to come!
