This event is a flag football tournament with many sororities that is the culmination of our War of the Roses, week long philanthropy event. As the only fraternity that owns and operates our own philanthropy organization, The Ability Experience, we are very excited to put on the football tournament for the first time. I also am getting some sponsoring from the Golden State Warriors to raffle off merchandise but need budget to hold a BBQ or another event for a raffle or to add it to the football event. All of the money from our events go to The Ability Experience, which helps people with disabilities.

We are going to have a scavenger hunt during the afternoon of April 30th. Our brothers will lead a group of 5-10 people around campus, looking for items and clues. It should be a really fun event with an MC, food, and live music from members of our frat. The top three groups will get prizes, so it would be great to help financing that, as well as making our clues and items more interesting and sophisticated. Our cause is the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF), which provides prosthetics to people of all ages who have lost their arms and/or legs in tragic accidents or abuse. Their main goal is to encourage disabled people to remain active, instilling the reality that they can live very full lives. Every October CAF organizes a triathlon in La Jolla, CA where the "challenged" athletes compete against abled bodied athletes.

ATOlympics has been Alpha Tau Omega's largest philanthropy event for the past four years. It incorporates multiple teams which compete to finish a series of bouncy house obstacle courses set up on Memorial Glade. The event is planned for Sunday, April 9th. In past years, ATOlympics has raised $1,200 through team registration fees and t-shirt sales, all of which goes to benefit the Special Olympics of North America. This year, we are planning to expand the event to incorporate more and larger teams. We hope to raise even more money for a worthy cause which numerous brothers volunteer for in their free time.

Sigep's philanthropy is Pedal For Life, where we as a chapter bike 500 miles from Sather Gate to Santa Monica pier after finals week. We aim to raise $10,000 as a group for JDRF, a diabetes research organization. The funding I am asking for is to cover the cost of some of the supplies for our fundraiser, Bike-powered blender smoothies, where we make smoothies using bikes on stands. The supplies include produce, cups, and coolers to store the food. We generally make $300-400 per day we do this, and plan to hold the event on 4/7.

We are having a volleyball tournament called "Volley for Vets" on April 16th. This will be advertised as a Greek community event but is open to anyone who would like to pay and form a team. All proceeds will go to USO (United Service Organizations). We will be renting 2 volleyball courts for 6 hours at RSF for a total cost of $180 (or might be able to secure Clark Kerr courts for free). We will sell refreshments and t-shirts / tanks at the event and will make around $40 profit per team (8-10 people), and expect around 8-10 teams to participate. We will also charge $3 for those who want to watch the event. All considered, we expect a profit of around $500 to be sent to USO. Besides that, there is a value within itself to bring the whole Greek community together for some friendly competition.

Hey there! Kappa Alpha Order is hosting a volleyball tournament in the backyard of our house. Our philanthropy is raising money for the Live for Others foundation, a charity created by a former brother, Tim Vorenkamp, a few months before he passed away from Synovial Cell Sarcoma. Volleyball was a big part of Tim's life, so with this event, we will be honoring Tim's lively spirit and raising money to save others with a little friendly competition. We haven't set an entry fee yet but we are expecting about $800-$1,000. We don't want to charge for food or drinks or set a high price for the entry fee, we want everyone at this event to be smiling and not worrying about money. The $100 reimbursement would be greatly appreciated, so that we could end up donating more money and provide snacks and drinks to our guests free of charge.

I am applying for sponsorship, of a carnival game for the carnival i'm organizing on March 5th. The carnival will be held on Channing way from 12:30-3:30 we are doing our own spin, on the tradition of Derby Days which started on Channing way in 1916. We are receiving sponsorship of game rentals from the RHA, and Sutter Health and would be excited to have an IFC sponsorship. Your sponsorship would cover the rental of one of our silver level games. Specifically the IFC would sponsor the rental of either Giant bowling or on of our food trucks. The proceeds from the carnival are being donated to Camp Kesem Berkeley and the other half to The Huntsman Cancer Institute. We are tying this carnival into a weeklong greek wide series of philanthropy events and a dorm wide donation competition. We are expected to earn around $3000 from this event.

Our national philanthropy is Autism speaks; every year we host a Haunted House and co-host a 5k to raise funds. This semester we have implemented Bros UniteD - a "Big Brother"/"Little Brother" mentorship program with kids who are on the spectrum. We meet with our "little brothers" every Sunday, for about 6-8 weeks, and host lunch and a fun activity. With this program our brotherhood is able to be integrally involved with youth on the spectrum and have a positive impact on their lives. This program is self-funded and we do not profit from it. Receiving funding would help us construct a great program for the kids.

I want to do a Phi Psi Drive where we collect clothes and items from all the houses at Cal, and hold a day at Phi Psi where various organizations can come to pick up anything they want. Money would be need for containers and transport for the items. 100$ could legitamately fund the entire event as most of the event is effort based. I want to move away from House to House philanthropies where students just get an excuse to get drunk and play games, and the only money interchanged is amongst the houses. I want to postively contribute to our neighborhood.

We will be renting a charter bus to seat around 60 individuals to take us to the nearby Tilden Park for the day. There we will proceed to lend out shovels and dig holes for a couple of hours. Refreshments will be provided as it will likely be a hot day. Tickets will be sold prior to the event at around $10 to $15. We are digging holes to support Alzheimer's research through the Judy Fund. We expect to net at least $200 to $300 from the whole event.

We will be hosting (at our house) a table decorating contest. Teams of 4-6 will each be provided with a table topper and decoration supplies, although they are also allowed to bring any of their own supplies. There will be a total of 4-5 teams and each team will pay a $200 entry fee. They will be able to keep the table topper when they finish. All proceeds will benefit the St Jude Children's Research Hospital. We expect to earn around 800-1000 dollars.

We are holding a benefit concert on April 6th, with proceeds going to the Oakland Public Education Fund. Additionally, we will be selling food and holding a raffle on Sproul in the days leading up in order to advertise the concert, which will also be donated. Since our previous philanthropy event, Chi Phi Rent a Gent, was cancelled, this is the first year that we holding a benefit concert. The funding would be used to provide food and beverages at the event, which will create more interest and profit. This money would help us make the event awesome, and hopefully set this as a precedent for the future of our Philanthropy. The event is called Chi Philanthropy for the Kids, and we would love to be considered for the Fund.
