Chapter Summary/Information: Zeta Phi Beta was founded by 5 illustrious pearls who longed for a sorority who eliminated the stereotypes and got down to business. Our principles: community service, scholarship, sisterly love and finer womanhood. Our motto: A Community-Conscious, Action-Oriented Organization. Zeta Phi Beta is the FIRST & ONLY Black Greek-lettered sorority to be constitutionally bound to a fraternity Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. Zeta Phi Beta was first to charter chapters in Africa and the first to establish youth and adult auxiliary groups. We thrive on community service and actively participate in activities like the AIDS/HIV walk; March of Dimes walk; clothing drives for the homeless; and Stork's nest where we give low income women free prenatal care. Gamma Beta Chapter was established on UC Berkeley's campus in 1942. Colors: Royal Blue and Pure White. Official Mascot: White Dove; unofficial mascot: Z-kitty. Flower: White Rose.
