Chapter Summary/Information: Delta Delta Delta Fraternity, founded in 1888, began as an organization concerned with the growth and development of the college woman and has evolved into a leader among sororities. THE PURPOSE OF DELTA DELTA DELTA shall be to establish a perpetual bond of friendship among its members, to develop a stronger and more womanly character, to broaden the moral and intellectual life, and to assist its members in every possible way. IT SHALL ALSO BE THE PURPOSE OF DELTA DELTA DELTA to promote and develop mutually beneficial relationships between the Fraternity and the colleges and universities where the Fraternity has established chapters, to develop qualities of unselfish leadership among its members, and to encourage them to assume, with integrity and devotion to moral and democratic principles, the highest responsibilities of college women. Our motto, "Let us steadfastly love one another," is the foundation upon which Tri Delta was established. The bonds of sisterhood reach far beyond our chapter walls. We know that once we leave the University of California at Berkeley, we will not be leaving each other.

Message from the President: Joining Tridelta was without a doubt the best decision I have made at Cal. Tridelt is not only the place I call home, but where I have made so many incredible memories and friends that will last a lifetime. I am constantly inspired by the passion and dedication that our members show and all that they achieve professionally and academically. Our purpose, emphasizing a "perpetual bond of friendship" is prevalent in our lives daily whether its hanging out in the TV room, getting food on the weekends, going in groups to the library, swapping stories, or cheering on the Golden Bears. I am so proud to be part of Tridelta- it has been a life-changing experience and has made college truly unforgettable. Delta Love, Lauren

Chapter History: Pi Chapter was founded at the University of California at Berkeley on April 14, 1900. Nationally, Tri Delta is recognized as one of the largest and strongest collegiate sororities in the nation. The UC Berkeley chapter of Tri Delta was the first DDD chapter founded on the west coast and we have maintained a strong and ongoing legacy on the Berkeley campus. Pi Chapter recently celebrated its 107th birthday this past spring! Our chapter house is located on Warring Street in South Berkeley, right across the street from the International House. It is literally steps away from Cal campus and within feet of Memorial Stadium (Go Bears!). The physical chapter house is special because it was the first sorority at Cal to be built specifically to be sorority. This provides our members with spacious rooms and great bay views, as well as adequate privacy throughout the house while still providing large, open common areas and high ceilings. One of the most unique aspects of our chapter house is that only members of Delta Delta Delta have ever occupied the house. William Wurster, the famed 20th century California architect whom UC Berkeley's "Wurster Hall" is named for, designed the chapter house in the 1930s. With our spacious rooms spanning the chapter's three stories, Tridelta can house 65+ women. Additionally, Tridelta has one of the largest sorority parking lots with 12 full size parking spots reserved exclusively for our members located right outside in our chapter's driveway.
