Chapter Summary/Information: Theta Chi Fraternity is a group of young men dedicated to the values of leadership, academic excellence, and community service. A Theta Chi makes apparent in all aspects of his life the ideals of Truth, Temperance and Tolerance, never hesitating to extend a helping hand to all who seek it. As one of the most diverse groups on campus with members from all walks of life, we pride ourselves on the close bonds all of our brothers hold with one another. Mu Chapter at UC Berkeley, having been rechartered in the late 1990’s, is a young but steadily growing house. Many brothers have gone on to successful careers as lawyers, life coaches, doctors, internet start-up visionaries, journalists, and experts in a wide array of fields. Even here at Cal, many members participate in a host of campus clubs and teams in some type of leadership capacity, all while finding the time to focus on their academic pursuits and interests. Theta Chi is the premier social fraternity, offering its members a wide variety of skills and opportunities that enrich their lives even beyond graduation and that enable them to go on to be the leaders of America. There’s something here for everyone; not having fun is NOT an option. Feel free to stop by and introduce yourself--our door is always open.
Annual Events: USC/UCLA trips | Alumni Dinner | Exchanges with sororities | Game Day Tailgates | Parties | Semester Retreat | Relay for Life | Mid-Year Leadership Challenge
Chapter Philanthropy: The American Red Cross helps prepare communities for emergencies and is often the first organization called in for relief efforts. As the embodiment of many of our beliefs and values, the helping hand that the Red Cross offers has assisted millions of people in their day-to-day lives. Every semester, the brothers of Theta Chi help to put on a blood drive, in addition to many of our other philanthropic and community service projects.
Chapter History: Mu Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity was founded out of the Unity Club at UC Berkeley in 1913. Since then, we have had a long and successful history, including Olympic Medals, stolen Stanfurd Trees, businesses founded out of the basement, University Medals, and much more excellence.
