Chapter Summary/Information: The stated mission of Sigma Gamma Rho is: To enhance the quality of life within the community. Public service, leadership development, and education of youth are the hallmarks of the organization’s programs and activities. Sigma Gamma Rho addresses concerns that impact society educationally, civically, and economically. In our quest to expand Sigma Gamma Rho’s area of service, we actively participate in the sponsoring of national and international programs designed for the improved welfare of all people. Our projects include, but are not limited to: Project Reassurance, Mwanamugimu Project, and Project Wee Savers. The UC Berkeley Beta Psi Chapter was chartered on January 18, 1958. Colors: Royal Blue and Gold.
