Chapter Summary/Information: Their fundamental purpose is, “Achievement in every field of human endeavor.” Founded at a predominately white college campus where there were only 13 students of color, ten of these men came together and founded Kappa Alpha Psi which continues to thrive. In all that we do, achievement is what we strive for and we settle for nothing less than perfection in all areas of life. “Training for Leadership since 1911” is a motto that we adhere to through promoting the spiritual, social, intellectual, and moral welfare of our members and society at large. This is fulfilled through scholarship, community service, academic support, and mentoring. The Gamma Alpha Chapter was chartered on October 23, 1947 encompassing UC Berkeley and San Francisco State University. Colors: Krimson and Kream
