Chapter Summary/Information: Kappa Alpha strives to maintain a higher level of gentlemanly behavior which helps to set us apart from other fraternities around the nation. In addition, Kappa Alpha actively works to help our community, chapter scholarship while providing an ideal place to enhance social networks. Kappa Alpha maintains the highest amount of community service of any other chapter at Berkeley. In addition, our combined house GPA of 3.42 puts us as one of the highest on campus, and above the all men’s average. Finally, Kappa Alpha works diligently to destroy the outdated stereotype that is shown in animal house; we do this by placing brotherhood and gentlemanly behavior above all else, while still maintaining our roots as a social fraternity.

Message from the President: To potential members and those who might be interested in joining a fraternity even if it is not Kappa Alpha I recommend you think about three things. First can you see yourself living in the house? Kappa Alpha has one of the finest houses on campus. Originally the mayors house KA has some of the largest rooms available as well as a common rooms and a backyard basketball court. Second, do you mesh with the vibe of the house? Some houses are all about partying; some houses are all about academics. Kappa Alpha is a healthy combination of the two. We area a group of guys who understand that we are at school for an education, but at the same time want to leave school with a huge social network. Lastly and most importantly do you get along with all the guys in the house? One person can ruin an experience for you. So for those who are looking for the most balanced college experience at Cal look up Kappa Alpha.

Chapter Philanthropy: We raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy and Operation Crimson Gift a co-organized event between Kappa Alpha and the Red Cross.
