Chapter Summary/Information: Purpose: The development and perpetuation of Scholarship, Leadership, Citizenship, Fidelity, and Brotherhood. Our motto is: “Building a tradition instead of resting upon one.” Iota programs and collaborations include: The Iota Youth Alliance, United Negro College Fund, and the National Iota Foundation which is an important cornerstone in the Fraternity’s future strategy for providing assistance and uplift to the African-American community. The UC Berkeley Gamma Zeta Chapter was chartered December 17th, 1995. Colors: Charcoal Brown and Gilded Gold.
