Additional Information

Chapter Summary/Information: Certainly the most public and perhaps the best-known description of the purposes of Delta Chi, the Preamble's principle ideals offer profound potential as a guide to daily life as a brother: "We, the members of The Delta Chi Fraternity, believing that great advantages are to be derived from a brotherhood of college and university men, appreciating that close association may promote friendship, develop character, advance justice, and assist in the acquisition of a sound education, do ordain and establish this Constitution".

Message from the President: Hello All, Delta Chi at UC Berkeley has a rich history of scholasticism, athleticism, activism and leadership. We take pride in how close our members have grown over time and look for respectable qualities in men, such as friendliness, professionalism, and a genuine interest in helping others. We encourage everyone to come by our house for our public events to meet the brothers and see the benefits of being a Delta Chi. You will find that being a part of Delta Chi at UC Berkeley is an incredibly rewarding experience of personal growth and friendship. Sincerely, Mitchell Korey

Annual Events: Aside from our World Cup soccer event, we have our bi-annual Date Party and Registered Party. These events are always a blast and have been wonderful opportunities to mingle within the Greek community.

Chapter Philanthropy: Delta Chi World Cup Soccer Tournament is hosted each semester to raise awareness and money for the V Foundation for cancer research. Sororities typically team up to play against each other and spectators from all over the Cal community come to watch, play and enjoy time spent for a good cause. | The Sage Mentorship Project is our weekly philanthropy cause in which some of our members visit a local elementary school to serve as mentors and after-school counselors. This experience has been absolutely wonderful and rewarding for all of our members and has allowed for Delta Chi to directly contribute to the Berkeley community.

Chapter History: Since our start in 1910, Delta Chi at UC Berkeley has been seeped in a rich tradition of activism on campus and have had over ten ASUC senators, one ASUC executive Vice President, and two ASUC Presidents. Our chapter has leaders in Cal sports and club teams, such as volleyball, lacrosse and soccer, as well as our intramural teams, which include soccer, football, softball and dodgeball. Our GPA is consistently one of the highest on campus and we have also had the esteemed privilege of being first amongst all other fraternities. Our chapter is made up of a large and diverse group of students with majors ranging from Astrophysics, EECS, MCB and Civil Engineering to PEIS, Political Science, Business, History and Economics. We bi-annually host philanthropic events for the V Foundation and two of our members founded the Sage Mentorship Project in which our members mentor elementary school students in the bay area. An active, involved chapter, Delta Chi is a proud leader in the Cal Greek community
