Chapter Summary/Information: Delta Tau Delta is an organization centered on four fundamental principles: Truth, Courage, Faith and Power. These four principles guide us in making our decisions and provide us with a firm launching pad to greatness. With the mission: Committed to Lives of Excellence, Delta Tau Delta has been a leading fraternity since its foundation in 1858. By joining the ranks of thousands of Delts, Over 143,000 men, consisting of men who are doctors, lawyers, teachers, athletes, musicians, senators, businessmen, fathers, grandfathers, and mentors you are offered an instant connection between these men and you, a connection that could result in some phenomenal life experiences and advice. Since 1858 the Fraternity has spread to nearly 200 campuses with over 120 active chapters and colonies. For over 150 years, Delta Tau Delta has in excess of 150,000 men who have become members of the Fraternity. Within the Berkeley chapter there is one phrase that best encapsulates what it is to be a Delt, ‘Brotherhood Sustains Us.’ We pride ourselves on the close-knit friendships we create and maintain. We are a diverse group and we love to have a great time. Delta Tau Delta is a place where you can find chill people, good vibes, and a great time.

Message from the President: DTD for me is and has been a place full of good memories and great friends. It can be that place for anyone, you get out what you put in to Delta Tau Delta, and DTD has been a cause I have been willing to put into. From the very first day of being a Delt, I’ve found a place and an experience that has allowed me to grow tremendously, make close friendships, get excellent advice, and just chill. The events we hold have been key memories of my college experience. Going whitewater rafting in a dingy pool-float while watching people in kayaks with helmets float by was a great adrenaline pumper. Then watching the stars after a long hike up Mt. Diablo, seemed a moment of tranquility and reflection. Jumping in a 10 foot tall pile of foam in our house before a party was a night of ridiculous fun, and driving down to UCLA and USC for the football games a weekend of pure school spirit. And now as the president I feel a great sense of pride in being able to lead this organization into the future. Delta Tau Delta is a place of growth, a place of love, and a place for those willing to give for a greater return.

Chapter Philanthropy: Delta Tau Delta prides itself on it’s newly started Adopt-a-School program. Brothers travel to a local school and give back to the community by interacting with and helping children. We play games, organize soccer, tutor kids, and participate in other activities throughout the school. We also participate in the Berkeley Project, an event dedicated to urban renewal, as well as Relay for Life, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
