Additional Information

Chapter Summary/Information: The oldest social fraternity in the nation and the second oldest chapter on campus, Chi Phi was founded on the basis of truth, honor and personal integrity. Re-founded in Fall 2011, all members have direct influence in the future of the house, and are able to participate in whichever manner that they choose. We believe in the True Gentleman* and strive to reach this standard every day. *(http://chiphi.org/Students/StudentOurBeliefs.aspx)

Annual Events: Sorority and Sports Teams exchanges | Annual Alumni Banquet | LA Bago Trip | Annual Registered Party | Chi Phi National Convention | Chi Phi National Congress

Chapter Philanthropy: Our National Philanthropy efforts are focused on the Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Chapter History: As the second oldest fraternity on the campus the Lambda Chapter of Chi Phi has had its hand in its fair share of Cal history and lore. From hiding the Stanford Axe to graduating one of California's most esteemed governors, Hiram Johnson, Chi Phi has never been one to shy from the spotlight. We have had numerous athletes from various sporting teams (Cal sports, club and intramural), have one of the highest GPAs in the entire Greek system. Our members also have majors ranging from EECS to Business to MCB to Celtic Studies. The heart of the chapter remains strong as ever with an active and impressive alumni base and brotherhood as strong as any fraternity on campus.
