Chapter Summary/Information: The purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards; to promote unity and friendship among college women; to study and help alleviate problems concerning women and girls in order to improve the social stature; to maintain a progressive interest in college life; and be of service to all mankind. The national targets of AKA sorority are education, health, economics, the Black family, and the arts. Colors: Salmon Pink and Apple Green
